Terms of Service

1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Repetra mobile application (available on iOS and Android) and the website at repetra.app (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Repetra ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Repetra. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Definitions

• "Service" refers to the Repetra mobile application and website, including all features, content, and functionality.
• "User" (or "you") refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
• "Content" refers to any text, images, audio, or other materials created, uploaded, or shared through the Service, including vocabulary cards, decks, and associated media.
• "We," "us," or "Repetra" refers to the operators of the Service.

3. Account Registration & Security

To use most features of Repetra, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain only one account per person.
• Keep your password confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

You may also sign in using Google OAuth or Apple Sign-In. Use of these authentication methods is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

Repetra offers the following plans:

• Free: Limited daily reviews, access to core features, rewarded video ads.
• Pro: Unlimited reviews, no advertisements, and additional features.
• Pro AI: Everything in Pro, plus expanded AI-powered flashcard generation limits.

Payments & Auto-Renewal

All paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store via a third-party subscription management provider. By subscribing, you acknowledge that:

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings — not within the Repetra app itself.
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of Apple or Google, depending on your platform.
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency within the app store.

5. Acceptable Use

Permitted Use

You may use Repetra for:

• Personal vocabulary learning and language study.
• Creating, organizing, and reviewing flashcards and decks.
• Sharing educational content with other users.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use one account.
• Circumvent subscription limits, usage quotas, or any technical restrictions.
• Upload, create, or share content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, infringing on others' intellectual property, or otherwise harmful.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service.
• Abuse the referral or partner program through fraudulent activity, fake accounts, or self-referrals.
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service for others.

6. User Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you create in Repetra, including vocabulary cards, decks, definitions, notes, and uploaded media. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using the Service, you grant Repetra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. For public decks, this includes making them accessible to other users.

You may delete your content at any time. Deleted content will be removed from our servers, subject to our data retention practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Repetra's Intellectual Property

The Service — including the application code, user interface design, branding, logo, and all related intellectual property — is owned by Repetra and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use our brand, logo, or other proprietary materials.

7. AI-Powered Features

Repetra offers AI-powered flashcard generation through a third-party AI service. When using AI features:

• Your text prompts are sent to our AI provider for processing. No other personal data is shared.
• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated flashcards before using them.
• There is no guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
• AI features are available to Pro and Pro AI subscribers, with daily generation limits varying by tier.

8. Sharing & Collaboration

Repetra allows you to share vocabulary content with other users:

• Public decks: You can make decks publicly available for other users to discover and study.
• Deck sharing: Share decks with specific users in view-only or collaborator modes.
• Card sharing: Share individual cards via links.
• Referral program: Invite others to Repetra and earn rewards when they sign up.

You are responsible for the content you share. Shared content must comply with the acceptable use guidelines above. We may remove shared content that violates these Terms.

9. Advertisements

Users on the Free plan may see rewarded video advertisements served by a third-party advertising network. These ads are optional — you choose when to watch them in exchange for benefits within the app. Upgrading to any paid subscription removes all advertisements.

10. Offline Mode & Data Sync

Repetra supports offline studying through local data storage on your device. When you go offline:

• You can continue reviewing cards stored locally on your device.
• Changes made offline will sync automatically when you reconnect to the internet.
• In the event of conflicts between local and server data, the Service will resolve them automatically, prioritizing the most recent changes.

11. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Account Suspension & Termination

By Repetra

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of suspension, unless immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:

• Your account enters a 30-day soft-delete recovery period during which you can reactivate your account and recover your data.
• After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted, including all vocabulary cards, decks, review history, media, and associated content.
• Active subscriptions should be canceled separately through your App Store or Google Play account settings to avoid continued billing.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Specifically, we do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
• You will achieve any specific learning outcomes or results.
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or free from errors.
• Third-party services integrated with Repetra will be available or function as expected.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Repetra's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or certain types of damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Repetra and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service.
• Content you create, upload, or share through the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.

16. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction

The courts of the Republic of Turkey shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and to everyone's satisfaction through direct communication.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or through an in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

18. Severability & Miscellaneous

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Repetra regarding your use of the Service.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
